About Minnie’s

It started with
one mother.

Dr. Cheryl Jackson opened Minnie’s Food Pantry on April 1, 2008, and named it for her mother, Minnie Hawthorne-Ewing — a pastor who raised nine children and taught every one of them to give the best they had. The idea hasn’t changed since: feed people well, and treat them like guests while you do it.

Come see it for yourself

The pantry is open Wednesday–Saturday, 8:30–11:30am in Plano. Volunteers are welcome, and so are questions.
