Founder Dr. Jackson receives SEAS Initiative Difference Maker Award from McKinney ISD

At the McKinney ISD Board meeting in March 2022, Dr. Winters presented our founder, Dr. Cheryl Jackson, with The SEAS (Students Engaged and Succeeding) Initiative Difference Maker Award because of Minnie’s Food Pantry’s outstanding commitment and support of MISD schools, students, and families.
Dr. Jackson received a standing ovation from the School Board.
Dr. Melinda DeFelice (MISD Deputy Superintendent of Secondary Student Support) and Dr. Michael Winters (MISD Senior Director of Administrative Services) presented the award.
Before Dr. Jackson was given her award, Winters spoke in detail about what Minnie’s Food Pantry has done for MISD and the drive-through events you all did for us at the “height of the start” of the pandemic.
Dr. Winters presented the award, and it ended in a standing ovation.
